Lake Texoma
Lake Texoma has many sandy beaches, sand dunes, islands and clear deep water. Public access includes 10 campgrounds (all but one with boat launch ramps) dozens of marinas and parks. The largest marina on Lake Texoma is Highpoint Resort, with a 4-lane boat ramp. To launch a boat at Corps of Engineer parks it costs $3. But the parks are free.

Texoma is a 89,000 acre lake on the Red River shared by Texas and Oklahoma. It is widely recognized as a top fishing lake, and is one of the most popular recreation destinations in the Southwest. Lake Texoma was built by the Corps of Engineers in the 1940's, and was stocked with black bass and crappie along with the native white bass in the Red and Washita Rivers.

Lake TexomaThe Lake Texoma area includes two wildlife refuges, two state parks, fifty four U.S. Army Corps of Engineers managed parks, twenty-six resorts, hundreds of campgrounds and a variety of excellent golf courses. Power boating, power sailing, personal watercraft, water skiers and wind surfers all consider the lake an excellent place to have fun. Lake Texoma has become a huge sailing center based on the lake's size, depth and miles of sailing shoreline

Eisenhower State Park, Lake TexomaIf Eisenhower State Park at Lake Texoma is your destination from Dennison take Texas 91 north to the Lake Texoma Dam, then take Farm Road 1310 west to the Park Road 20 entrance. 

 

To get to Lake Texoma from Fort Worth head north on I-35 to Gainesville, head east on U.S. 82 to Whitesboro, then head north on U.S. 377. You'll find several good public docks, with one on each side of U.S. 377, right before you cross the long bridge into Oklahoma.
