Kingsville TexasKingsville is the county seat of Kleberg County. At last count, in 2010, Kingsville had a population of 26,213. Kingsville is the main city in the Corpus Christi-Kingsville Micropolitan Area. 

Kingsville derived its name from the famous Texas rancher, Captain Richard King, of King Ranch fame.

Kingsville Naval Air Station is located 3 miles east of Kingsville. This is one of the United States Navy's top pilot training locations.

Three colleges are located in Kingsville, those being Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Coastal Bend College and Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, which is associated with the Texas A&M Health Science Center.

In Kingsville you will also find the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute.

The City of Kingsville official website describes Kingsville as being nestled between the sparkling Texas Riviera to the east and the rugged Brush Country to the west, with Kingsville being where modern industry meets the history of the Old West, surrounded by acres of flourishing wildlife and natural beauty.

There are over 450 species of birds in the Kingsville area, which is why the area is a popular birder destination.

Kingsville's historic downtown has several buildings on the National Register of Historical Places. In downtown Kingsville you will find cafes, boutiques, shops and a soda fountain in an old-fashioned pharmacy. 

The King Ranch Museum is in a renovated ice house near Kingsville's Historic Downtown. In the museum you will see what cowboy life was like on King's Ranch back in the 1930's.
