The East and West sides of Schlitterbahn are several blocks apart, with a free shuttle between both and free parking at both. Schlitterbahn East is divided into 2 theme areas, those being Surfenburg and Blastenhoff. Schlitterbahn, in 1994 unveiled the world's first uphill water ride, called the Dragon Blaster. With Dragon Blaster's success, more uphill water rides have been added, such as the Master Blaster and the Family Blaster. Entities such as the Travel Channel, and others, have picked the Master Blaster as the best water ride in America. |

In addition to the uphill water coasters, Schlitterbahn has over 3 miles of inner tube meandering rivers, 17 water slides, 7 water playgrounds for kids, plus Boogie Bahn, which is the world's first surfing machine, used by professionals and regular waterpark visitors. At Schlitterbahn, both the parking and the use of inner tubes is free. In addition to the waterslides there are pools, hot tubs, shady picnic grounds. You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket and cooler into the park. But no alcohol.. Schlitterbahn has year-round guest rooms available. |
