Along with such luminaries of Texas and American
history as Charles Remington, James Bowie, Quanah Parker, Will Rogers,
Charles Russell, Bose Ikard, and the often mentioned inspirations for
Lonesome Dove, Oliver Loving and Charles Goodnight, the Texas Trail of
Fame has some memorialized whose connection to the trail seems not as
grounded as others...but then again, maybe John Wayne rode the range
before he became a movie star...
